Children In Need 2018

CIN

A huge thank you for all the generous donations to Children in Need today. The children looked fantastic in their sporty, spotty attire as they raced around Pudsey’s course. This idea was conceived by School Council as they wanted to combine fitness with raising money - a super idea. A total of £629.96 has been raised.

School Council

The School Council is an elected group of children who meet weekly to discuss their school. The children, ranging from Year 2 to Year 6, chat collectively about ideas on how to improve the school, ideas to assist with its organisation and share feedback from good practice. As well as all this, the children decide how to raise money for charities. It is a communal group which will ultimately be led by the Year 6 children – two of which are already scribes within our meetings. Their notes and suggestions are then fed back to the teachers.

Charity Fundraising

Throughout the year, the School Council will support different charities by raising  money and awareness. They are kick starting the year off by supporting Children in Need in November 2018.

If you have any ideas of what we can all discuss at our weekly meetings, please let your child know and they can inform their class School Council member.
