Year 6 Woodrow Visit 2017 Updates

Wednesday 14th June 2.45pm -
Year 6 are on the coach and due to arrive back at school for 3.10pm.

Wednesday 14th June 11.35am -
Year 6 are on their final activity - shelter building! They have had an amazing time and have loved the centre and being away together! Everyone has been beautifully behaved and really looked after each other as a team. They are looking forward to telling you all about their stay when they get back to school later today.

Wednesday 14th June 9.00am -
Last night Year 6 strutted their stuff at the disco and it seems like all the children were raving about Mrs Hendy's 'moves'! Then they toasted marshmallows around the campfire.

Today, the sun is still shining and they have lots more activities and a shelter build challenge.

Tuesday 13th June 2.42pm -
After pasta bake for lunch, the children are all fuelled up and straight in to their afternoon activities. Nightline has been a  particular favourite and the children have been using their Katniss Everdeen skills in their archery session.

Tuesday 13th June 12.30pm -
The weather has been beautiful for the Year 6s and they are having a brilliant time! They have taken part in team challenges, group games and activities and this morning they have built and raced their own rafts!

This afternoon the different groups will be taking part in archery, bushcraft and low ropes. They are all very excited for this evenings activities also - because tonight is bonfire and a disco!

Tuesday 13th June 8.30am -
Year 6 had a great time last night playing 'hunt the teachers' in the woods followed by hot chocolates before bed. After a good nights sleep they were up early and ready for breakfast. Then off to build their own rafts!

Monday 12th June 10.05am -
After leaving school this morning dressed in their new leavers' hoodies, Year 6 have arrived safely at Woodrow Highhouse. They are just having a tour of the grounds before settling into their rooms and starting their first activity.

This is always such an excellent trip and we hope that the Year 6s have a fantastic time (and that they get some good weather)! You can keep up to date with how the visit is going on social media or on our school website.
